2in Fig 1502 Pressure Relief Valve – 15,000 psi Standard Service
Product Overview
The 2in Fig 1502 Pressure Relief Valve is designed to provide controlled pressure relief protection for high-pressure oilfield systems operating up to 15,000 psi standard service. Engineered for temporary overpressure events, the valve is intended to relieve short pressure spikes and indicate overpressure conditions in treating iron and pressure pumping applications.
Built with forged alloy steel pressure-containing components and a compact integral body design, the valve is ideal for frac, cementing, flowback, manifold, and pressure control systems where reliable overpressure protection is critical.

Operational Information
This pressure relief valve is designed to relieve short-duration pressure spikes and indicate overpressure events. It is not intended for continuous flow relief or full-system depressurization. Constant discharge from the outlet indicates an ongoing overpressure condition requiring additional system intervention.
All valves are initially set and tested to 15,000 psi, with final relief pressure adjusted to customer requirements prior to shipment.
Assembly Components
The assembly includes:
- Pressure relief valve body
- Adjusting screw assembly
- Disk spring stack
- Stellite ball and seat
- Spider and keeper assemblies
- NBR sealing elements
- Fig 1502 wingnut kit
- Factory seal components
- Union seal
Maintenance Recommendations
Recommended inspection and servicing:
- Every three months under normal operation
- After every frac job or every 25 stages
- After any overpressure event
- Annually regardless of service use
